The Meanings of Global Citizenship

Dr. Michael Byers, Canadian Research Chair in International Law and Politics at UBC, explores the meanings of global citizenship, how and where power vests and is wielded in today's world, Canada's complicity in the global power game, and the hypocrisies and hollowness of less rigorous or more benevolent conceptions of global citizenship. (An Office of UBC International Global Citizenship Speakers Series lecture originally presented on 3-Oct-2005)
